The Opportunity

I AM ATL is one of the campaigns the Atlanta Convention and Visitor’s Bureau does each year. In 2019, they wanted to highlight the cultural and art scene of the city by featuring prominent artists who are deeply involved in their communities. I led the creative team in our Atlanta and Portland offices to explore what their vision could look like on the DiscoverATL Instagram.

The Solution

After talking with the client, I pitched the idea of doing a 6 post grid on their Instagram with three of the posts being seamless swiping posts to highlight the the artists, and the other three posts being videos featuring aspects about the city and campaign. I led the art direction and was client-facing while the video edits came from myself, a junior designer on our team, and an editor in our Portland office.
