SCRI Hub Functionality & Usability Improvements
My task in SCRI Hub is to create and implement key functionality needed by our clinical trial network – comprised of both SCRI employees and external users.

Challenge
Create an end-to-end trial management solution for SCRI's clinical and sponsor partners. This includes document routing, signing, version control, tracking drug effectiveness, general reporting, and remaining in good standing with all regulatory bodies.
Results
Post-redesign, app functionality significantly increased. Our team worked with users to refine their processes, get feedback, and implement it throughout the product.
Documents signed. Totaling roughly $60K/year in company savings.

Document Routing Update
Problems to Solve
Users are routing documents to the wrong person, leading to quality concerns and slowdowns in their work.
Lack of visual and informational hierarchy makes the routing process tedious and slow.
Solution 1: Make it easier to see who you're routing to.
Using Update the routing module to include drop-downs so information is filtered and searched easier. It also gives clear context to how many specific groups are chosen at a glance.
We also decided to make the area the user is selecting the person to route to have more screen real estate so they clearly see who they're choosing.
Solution 2: Increase ease of use.
When selecting a user, clicking on the full card, not just the check mark will select the user – Previously you had to click on the checkbox specifically to select a user.
Give drop downs, buttons, and toggles proper hierarchy.
Create the needed states for WCAG.

Problem to Solve
Users are spending too much time uploading INDSRs.
Solution
Let the user add the drugs and event all at once, and have the system create a new document for each.

Through conducting user research, implementing tracking & feedback loops, and testing our work, SCRI hub has become a fan-favorite app amongst our users. We've saved thousands of man hours in task automation, and continue to make sure we're on the forefront of the medical field.
